Broc Parkes has been riding motorbikes since the age of five. Broc up until now has rode both in Supersport World Championships and World Superbikes.  As an athlete the tables can turn at anytime especially in this sport. In life it’s not how you start the race, it’s how you finish it.  Broc is one hell of an Aussie battler and this year he made his debut into MotoGP. He is the oldest rookie on the track.

Broc has a lot of ground to make regarding establishing himself as a rider in MotoGP. In this sport the amount one invests in the bike does really count. Who invests in you and that bike will make the difference regarding your position within the race. But this Ozzie guy makes it clear that when life throws you a dream you’re been waiting for, then you have to roll with the dice and go with what gets thrown at you.

Parkes is riding for Paul Bird Motorsport alongside Michael Laverty for the 2014 MotoGP season.  Broc had a great start to MotoGP,  he earnt one point for PBM’s World Championship in Qatar last month. This was its first since Yonny Hernandez finished 15th at Laguna Seca last year. Crikey it can only get better from here.

You can follow Broc Parkes on twitter.

Listen to the man himself  and how it feels as one of the MotoGP riders for 2014.  Listen to why Broc was running after his bike instead of riding it?
